Dave’s Cosmic Subs - Mt Vernon: Savor the Ultimate Sandwich Experience

Absolutely wonderful place! The atmosphere is very laid back and chill. Paul is a great conversationalist and in addition to Marissa who's an awesome cook, they made us feel very welcome and right at home. The food is delicious and these were by far the best subs I've ever had!!! The ingredients are super fresh & you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We recommend "The Crazy Dave" & "Dave's Peace Steak". If you are in the area check them out, you won't be disappointed!

My husband and I are new to Mount Vernon and found this GEM in downtown MV. We’ve been to Dave’s CS three times and it is always clean. The subs delicious. We like the turkey sub. The sandwiches are fresh, generous in size and excellent in taste! The sub rolls are perfectly heated, just crunchy enough on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside with a generous portion of melted cheese. Yum! Don’t miss out on the fresh cut fries! They are delicious, perfectly crisp, served hot every time, so good! As a side note for someone who enjoys the nugget ice cubes, my favorite type of ice, the fountain drinks are great too! Great classic rock tunes playing in the background at just the right volume, not too loud but perfect background music, especially for those of us who are familiar with the greatest musicians of the 70’s and 80’s. Marissa is incredible, friendly, and extremely helpful. The owners are lucky to have her! If you haven’t checked them out, you are missing out, and I understand there is a coupon in the Town Money Saver for free fries! Stop by you’ll be happy you did!

I stopped by Dave’s Cosmic Subs in Mt. Vernon tonight, encouraged by a coupon for free fries I found in this month’s Town Money Saver magazine. I haven’t been here in a while, and I’m so glad I decided to return! Parking was easy with a spot right out front, and the restaurant was very clean. While there were no dine-in customers at the time, I ordered my Chicken Parm sub to go and was able to sit at a table while I waited. The staff were respectful, friendly, and quick with service. A couple of other customers came in to pick up to-go orders, and everything ran smoothly. The food did not disappoint! The Chicken Parm sub is huge and delightfully messy, but oh so, so good. The fries were fresh and tasty, too. Definitely worth the stop!

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. Convenient downtown location. Great food with good vegitarian and vegan options. I really like the Grateful Dave with alfalfa sprouts and avocado! Service is always friendly, prompt and courteous. Highly recommend!

This place is so awesome! I got the chicken bacon ranch sub and it was sooo delicious!!! Service was really fast and super knowledgeable (my friend is gluten free and dairy free and they gave her lots of awesome options!). The food is super filling too, and the fresh fries were epic.

VEGAN SUBS!!!! Absolutely delicious, totally worth the price. We got the "turkey" sub and the "chicken" parm, both were great but the chicken parm was our favorite. The employees were very friendly as well. We will be back again

We have lived here for years and have just now tried this gem. Man I have we been missing out. The service staff alone made the experience incredible but the food was delicious. Those fries, hot damn they were so good I’d hide in a back parking lot from my family to eat those suckers. Loved the atmosphere. Great place to eat.

This lil sub shop has some of the best food i have ever eaten. The owner was amazing to talk to and we were treated like royalty. I will drive from Columbus just to eat here again! Its that good!
